The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and cartoon version.

The new cast member is joined by a number of new cast members set to bring the organization to reality, including head Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Even though the role is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
