The state AG has rolled out a recent online portal urging residents to submit visual evidence of immigration raids throughout New York. This move follows a shortly after a high-profile immigration operation shook Chinatown in Manhattan, sparking mass protests.

American Citizens Held In Enforcement Action

A US congressman disclosed during a news conference that four US citizens were arrested and kept for "nearly 24 hours" after the previous day's operation. Protests broke out in New York on consecutive evenings.

"All New York residents has the right to reside free from terror," state officials declared in a release.

"If you witnessed and documented immigration enforcement yesterday, I encourage you to share that footage with the authorities. We are dedicated to examining these accounts and determining any legal breaches."

Submission Process

The form includes fields to send images and video footage of the operation, along with a field to indicate where it occurred. Before submitting, individuals must tick a box that confirms that "the attorney general could utilize any documents, photographs, or videos in a public document, such as in a court case or public report."

The Manhattan operation, which observers say involved over fifty government officers, occurred in a popular area of NYC where counterfeit purses, items, goods and merchandise are sold daily widely – often to tourists.

Videos of Tuesday's raid depict several covered and weaponized personnel restraining and arresting a person, and pushing back witnesses. Masses of residents trailed the officers along the roads. An military-style transport was noticed moving along the urban roads.

Leadership Statements

In a midweek briefing organized with the New York immigrant rights coalition, congressman Dan Goldman, a Democrat, announced that four US citizens were detained by ICE for nearly 24 hours and that there were "no situations where US citizens should be taken for unjustly."
