Iran Claims Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Regional Counterattacks.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.

Missile Defenses Activated

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.

Additional Developments

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with notable success and shot down a number of missiles," it added.

The statement noted debris fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
